How to Download and Use Flashtool-

If you are looking for a way to flash your Sony Xperia device with the latest firmware, you may want to try Flashtool- This is a free and powerful tool that allows you to flash your device with custom or official ROMs, kernels, recovery images, and more.

In this article, we will show you how to download and use Flashtool- on your Windows PC. Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1: Download Flashtool-

The first thing you need to do is to download Flashtool- from the official website. You can find the link at the end of this article.

Once you have downloaded the file, you need to extract it to a folder on your PC. You can use any file extraction software such as WinRAR or 7-Zip for this purpose.

Step 2: Install Flashtool Drivers

Before you can use Flashtool-, you need to install the drivers for your Sony Xperia device. These drivers are included in the Flashtool folder that you extracted in the previous step.

To install the drivers, go to the Flashtool folder and run the file named "Flashtool-drivers.exe". This will open a window where you can select the drivers for your device model and variant.

Check the boxes for the drivers that match your device and click on "Install". You may need to accept some security prompts during the installation process.

Step 3: Run Flashtool-

Now that you have installed the drivers, you can run Flashtool- from the Flashtool folder. This will launch the Flashtool application on your PC.

You will see a window with several tabs and buttons. The main tab is called "Flashmode", which is where you can flash your device with firmware files.

Step 4: Download Firmware Files

Before you can flash your device with Flashtool-, you need to download the firmware files that you want to use.

You can find official firmware files for your Sony Xperia device on websites such as XperiFirm or Xperia Stock ROMs.

You can also find custom firmware files for your Sony Xperia device on websites such as XDA Developers or Android File Host.

Make sure that the firmware files are compatible with your device model and variant, and that they are in FTF format.

Step 5: Flash Your Device

Once you have downloaded the firmware files that you want to use, you can flash your device with Flashtool-

To do this, go to the "Flashmode" tab on Flashtool and click on the "Select" button at the top right corner.

This will open a window where you can browse and select the FTF file that you want to flash.

After selecting the FTF file, click on "Flash" at the bottom right corner.

This will prompt you to turn off your device and connect it to your PC while holding the volume down button.

This will put your device in flash mode, which is indicated by a green LED light on your device.

Flashtool will then start flashing your device with the selected FTF file.

You will see a progress bar and some messages on Flashtool during the flashing process.

Do not disconnect or interrupt your device until the flashing process is complete.

Step 6: Reboot Your Device

When the flashing process is complete, Flashtool will show a message saying "Flashing finished".
